Huang Guangwei (Hereinafter refer to as “Eric”) is a businessman from Zhejiang. He has the typical characteristics of Zhejiang businessmen: tough, hard-working and dare to be the trend pioneer. In 1997, Mr. Huang left 20-year career in printing industry and set up Wenzhou Hongwei tech co., ltd. in 1998 to dabble in EAS industries out of his career sensitivity.

In order to break the monopoly of imported EAS-RF soft labels, Eric spent 4 years to develop the labels. During this period, he sought advice from experts from Beijing and Shanghai many times and worked out R&D schemes with technicians. In 2001, the EAS-RF (8.2Mhz) soft tag was successfully developed. Since then, this EAS-RF (8.2mhz) labels were not only applied by the domestic supermarkets and retail stores, but also sold to countries abroad from Europe, North America and so on. It had been highly recognized by global retail integrators.

Partners from Japan, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United States, etc came to seek cooperation. After careful consideration, Eric cooperated with Sidep France to establish Asialco in October 2002, and he was nominated as the general manager and chief engineer. Eric led the team to continue R&D and improve product quality. In 2006, Asialco invested 100 million yuan to build a new plant (20,000 square meters) to expand its production capacity. Then Asialcogained quick development and made impressive performance. After 5 years since its foundation, Asialco was wholly acquired by Checkpoint.

In 2009, Premier Wen Jiabao delivered a speech entitled "Science and Technology Will Lead China's Sustainable Development", which indicated to break through key technological barrier of sensor network and Internet of things. Eric smelled the spring arrival of China's IOT industry. With strong belief and unremitting persistence, Eric always keep the faith to defend the national electronic label industry in mind. Then he resigned from Asialco’s board of directors and set his sights on the RFID industry. With devotion and hardwork, his new career acquired rapid development. The self-developed labels were included as a classic case in the first IOT textbook” the foundation and application of the IOT” published by Tsinghua University Press.

Eric's pioneering history is also the development history of China's electronic label. He believes that "building a star team is more important than having a star leader". After all, only a skilled and experienced captain is not enough to sail a boat smoothly. How can employees reach their potential? This is a question pondering in Eric’s mind from 2015 to 2017. Then in 2018, Eric and his team established Shanghai Nitai Tech Co., Ltd. to fully develop everyone’s potentials in pursuit of the further innovation of RFID and EAS-RF labels.
